 When you buy land in Ontario, you pay Ontario's land transfer tax.  In addition, for certain transfers of land, a 25 per cent Non‑Resident Speculation Tax (NRST) may apply. 

Buyers of new homes should register their warranties to receive the coverage they are entitled to under their builder’s warranty.

An annual tax is being levied on vacant Toronto residences, payable beginning in 2023.  Owners of Toronto properties are required to make this declaration.
